Each project exists with its own intent and structure, shaped around long-form ideas rather than trends or genre expectations. Some releases are confrontational, some are quiet, and some sit deliberately in between. What connects them is restraint, coherence, and a refusal to simplify.

The music often deals with pressure — political, personal, or internal — and the ways systems continue even as they erode. These are not protest records or background listening. They are documents of process, tension, and consequence.

Our catalogue is intentionally small and developed slowly. Releases arrive when they are complete, not when they are convenient.

Monkeyscream explores tension, overload, and internal collapse through dense alternative and post-rock structures. The music is repetitive, controlled, and deliberately unyielding, reflecting cognitive pressure rather than emotional release. Songs are built to feel cyclical and claustrophobic, where movement exists without progress and intensity accumulates without payoff.

The debut album, Neural Breakdown, captures the moment when systems continue to function even as stability fails. It documents agitation, conditioning, and eventual collapse—soundtracking a state where routines persist, signals repeat, and meaning begins to erode. Rather than dramatizing breakdown, the record treats it as procedural: a slow failure hidden inside normal operation.

The second album, When the Noise Leaves, begins after that collapse. Where Neural Breakdown is dense and confrontational, When the Noise Leaves is restrained, exhausted, and sparse. It focuses on aftermath rather than impact—what remains when pressure subsides, structures fall quiet, and nothing rushes in to replace the noise. The record traces endurance, withdrawal, and quiet erosion, favouring atmosphere and restraint over escalation.

Together, the two albums form a loose psychological arc rather than a narrative concept: from overload and mechanical persistence to fatigue, absence, and stillness. Monkeyscream operates in the space between noise and silence, where control feels ordinary, disconnection feels earned, and resolution is neither offered nor required.

Disaffected is an alternative rock project concerned with tension, erosion, and the quiet consequences of modern life. The music lives between restraint and release — slow-burn guitars, deliberate rhythms, and lyrics that examine power, silence, and complicity without theatrics or excess.

The debut album Nothing Resolved explored a broad range of styles and subject matter, moving between political observation, day-to-day pressures, and fractured personal relationships. It functioned as an open field of ideas, restless and unsettled by design.
The upcoming album Songs for America marks a shift toward a more focused and unified voice. The sound is more settled, the themes more deliberate, and the political perspective runs consistently throughout the record. Rather than slogans or nostalgia, the album works through observation and pressure — allowing discomfort to remain unresolved and questions unanswered.

Across both releases, Disaffected avoids spectacle. Themes of institutional decay, moral fatigue, and personal responsibility recur, framed through grounded, human narratives rather than protest tropes. Sonically, the project draws from post-grunge and modern alternative rock, favouring weight over volume and conviction over noise.

Disaffected is not protest music in the traditional sense. It is documentation — of moments where things shift quietly, lines are redrawn, and the cost of inaction becomes impossible to ignore.

The Middle is a quieter project rooted in acoustic, indie folk, and minimal arrangements. It focuses on reflection, endurance, and the spaces between certainty and action. The songs are intimate and direct, prioritising clarity and restraint over ornament or scale.
